It’s that time again – the first Saturday is nearly upon us and it’s time to set to labor with good and wholesome instruction. The Master Craftsman Program is a correspondence course for Scottish Rite Masons developed by Supreme Council. The purpose of our study group is to come together answer questions and to offer moral support and encouragement for those Brothers who seek more light in the Scottish Rite. We meet at Garland Lodge #441 which is located at: 125 E. State St. Garland, TX., 75040. We meet from 9 AM- 11 AM Breakfast will consist of Pancakes, sausage and Coffee or tea. I will have extra copies of the program available for purchase at $35 on a first come, first serve basis. Bring your copy of A Bridge to Light. Look forward to seeing you there.
There is another blood drive coming up at the Culwell Center during the Spirit Celebration. Both days, January 26 and 27 will be from 10 AM – 5 PM. We need a good showing from 441, and especially from our new Entered Apprentices – so block out a couple of hours to volunteer on one of these days. Nothing is more synonymous with Garland Masonry than the Gift of Life Program. It was started by our very own Jack Patterson. Let me know what hours you can work so that I can make sure you’re comp’d for your parking and admission into the event. Charity.
Stated Meeting this coming Tuesday will be our family night. Dinner will be served by our DeMolay boys which will not only help them offset the costs of their upcoming Government day, but of which they will be donating a percentage to our Hope Clinic fund. Please bring your wives, girlfriends, kids and grandkids – or if you have any young men aged 12-21 who are friends of the family – bring them too. The DeMolay chapter would like to meet them. On Monday night at Duck Creek’s Stated Meeting (Dinner at 6:30 PM – Lodge at 7 PM) our very own affiliated Past Master, John Puckett will receive his 50 year service award. Come and join this very worthy Brother on his very special night.
