Trinity Valley Lodge will be holding a Masonic Funeral instruction class at Trinity Valley Lodge (Scottish Rite Temple – Blue room) On Oct 29nd at 7:00 p.m. There will be a meal available at 6:30 Bro. James H. Johnston DI will instruct class and Bro. Bill J. Grubbs, P.M. will offer information from Grand Lodge Law on who is elgible for Masonic funerals.

Wednesday, Oct 24 @ 7PM: District 14 Masters, Wardens and Secretaries Association meeting at the Texas Masonic Retirement Center in Arlington. The meal is served at 6:30 and the meeting will follow. If you would like to meet at the Lodge and carpool, please let us know. We should depart Garland 441 by 5:15PM to get across town and through traffic.
Friday, Oct 26 @ 6:45PM: Mirabeau B. Lamar Award presentation to Homer B. Johnson prior to the Garland vs. South Garland football game, at HBJ Stadium. If you are interested in being on-field during this presentation, you must wear a coat and tie and a plain white apron (either your lambskin apron, or a plain one from the Lodge). Additional details will be forthcoming from Bro. Stuyvesant this week.
Saturday, Oct 27: Scottish Rite 1-Day Reunion. It’s not too late to become at Scottish Rite Mason at the “reduced” rate, before degree fees increase next year.
A reminder to everyone to set aside some time on Saturday to come out to Family Day Activities at the Texas Masonic Retirement Center. You will enjoy being a part of one of the biggest and best Masonic gatherings, and visiting with Brethren from all over this part of Texas. Wear your Garland 441 shirt, have a great time, and be sure to drop by to encourage your Lodge Cooking Team.
We will be competition cooking all night on Friday. The brisket judging is at high twelve Saturday, and the awards and prizes to be announced around 3:00 pm. Other activities include a Car and Motorcycle Show, children’s activities, and arts and craft vendors.

Monday, Oct 8 @ 7:00PM – Visitation to Duck Creek Lodge No. 1419’s Stated Meeting to take back the District 14 Visitation Gavel. Duck Creek took the gavel from us last month, so it’s our turn to visit them and get it back. They server supper at 6:30 and open Lodge at 7:00PM. Duck Creek is located at 600 N. 5th Street in Garland.
Tuesday, Oct 9 @ 7:00PM – Garland 441 Stated Meeting. At this meeting, we will be officially receiving our District Deputy Grand Master Right Worshipful Ronnie C. Wise. We will also be presenting a 50 Year Masonic Service award to a Brother as a courtesy to his Home Lodge in Japan. This should prove to be an eventful evening, so come out and join us in fellowship and brotherhood. Supper at 6:00PM, Lodge at 7:00PM.
